A perparatory meeting for NORCE II

A preparatory meeting for NORCE II was held in Reykjanesbær Iceland from the 3rd - 5th of September.  The meeting was supported by Reykjanesbær municipality and The Blue Lagoon. The main objective of this meeting was to develop a framework for a new NORCE project (NORCE II - Celebraiting Costal Heritage), and work on a new NPP application. Participants were from the original NORCE project but new potential partners from Iceland and Ireland also participated in the brein storming. The new project themes suggested were; access to heritage, outdoor and wildlife and finally boats (boat culture). The partners also suggested several semniars that could fit into the new themes.

Between meetings, the participants went on several excursions around the Reykjanes peninsula. They for example visited the Keflavík boat model museum, Garðaskagaviti Lighhouse and museum, The Blue Lagoon, Reykjanes geothermal area and Reykjanesviti lighthouse.
