In Piteå archipelago there is about 70 islands that together offer a specific flora, genuine cultural environments, good bath possibilities and many ancient monuments. Total there is ten nature reserves, with an interesting history to tell for you as visitors. A history as been told in several centuries and that we hope can be told many hundred years ahead.

In many of the Islands, municipality of Piteå has raised rest hostels, sauna, bridges, closets, m.m. (Baggen, Mellerstön, Moseholmen, Stenskär, Stor- Räbben, Svinöra and Vargön)

Marinas can be found at: Bergsviken, Haraholmen, Högsböle, Jävre, Klubbgärdet, Norra hamn, Pite Havsbad, Renöhamn, Rosvik, Sandholmen, Småskärsudden, Södra hamn och Strömnäs. Type of wildlife experience

The Piteå area offers various kind of wildlife experience, the main focus beeing birds, focus  but seals also reside there.

 

 

Season 

  • Birding: In springtime migrating birds are travelling from  toward the continent. For information about birding areas, please look at the map of Källa 
  • Seals: Seals can be sean all year round.
